Sri Gayatri Rachakonda is an experienced Engineer at Samsung with a passion for analyzing and interpreting big data technologies to effectively solve business problems and deliver meaningful insights. With a strong attention to detail, she has become proficient in programming languages such as Python, SQL, PHP (Laravel), JavaScript (ReactJS, ReduxJS), and Scala. Additionally, she has a solid understanding of big data tools such as Hadoop, Apache Spark, Airflow, AWS, and Tableau. Currently working as a Data Engineer at Orbis Investments, Sri Gayatri has a wealth of experience in the field. Prior to this, she was a Data Engineer at Samsung, where she was involved in implementing the front-end user-interface of a design gallery system to enable interactions amongst multiple parametric-models. She collaborated with other researchers from Visual Analytics and Design Research background to engage in decision making on design and implementation issues. Sri Gayatri also worked as a Research Assistant at Simon Fraser University, where she spearheaded the development of a simulation-based behavioral learning software application. She built a chatbot to resolve customers’ queries and helped reduce the dependence on human instructors. Additionally, she analyzed data collected from software simulations by querying MySQL databases to build comprehensive reports about a customer’s performance. She validated high-level solutions and architectures for business requirements against existing design patterns and best practices. Sri Gayatri holds a Master's degree in Computer Science: Big Data from Simon Fraser University and a Master's degree in Software Engineering (Integrated) from VIT.
